What do people think about the new Superleague Formula Series?
WEBSITE: superleagueformula.com/ (http://superleagueformula.com/)
The drivers and cars seem like Champ Car hand-me-downs. Will it survive?

...cars seem like Champ Car hand-me-downs.
That's cause their cars are built by Elan Motorsport Technology (i.e. Panoz). They're basically a naturally aspirated DP-01.
Don't know how well they will do. Everybody who starts a racing series feels they have a niche that can work, so apparently if football/soccer fans go to the races to see a car in their favorite club's colors race against another car in a rival club's colors, it just may work. ;)

Yippeee!!!Spec formula cars!!!!!!
I don't like soccer...I don't like formula car racing much anymore...This something that could only work in Europe...If it dies tomorrow it would'nt matter much to me because I don't think I'll be paying much attention to it.The only thing good that might come out of this is if they can lure some of the Formula IndyCART drivers away from Mr.George's dead end series,it may hasten the demise of formula car racing in North America a little sooner...

RJDespite the best of intentions, this series will have their hands full competing for an audience that already follows F1 and to a lesser extent, the A1GP. The cars are cool and the concept of their favorite club's colors racing each is is a novel one, but it's a bit of a stretch IMO.
