I've been collection the entire series of the 1:43 scale IXO Ferrari laStoria Collection, and have been pleased with their offerings. The only real downfall is they are slow in coming.

I was extremely surprised when the next two in the series arrived (#'s 12 and 14), not because they caught me off guard, but the quality and detail is now on the verge of being exceptional.

The #12-1987 Berger, seems to utilize new production methods. The lines are very clean and sharp. The carbon fibre areas actually look like carbon fibre. The paint and decals are perfect!

Now for the #14-2003 Schumacher...I don't ever recall any 1:43 scale Schumacher model looking this good. When I sit be side my 1998 Minichamps, it is actually much better. Once again, the paint and decals are flawless and the details such as antena's, wings are much more to scale.

I'm impressed!

Anyone else have a similar experience?

i have a few of the IXO lastorias, and am pretty impressed with them they are a whole lot better than and mattel offering.

i was tempted to buy the 1996 Schumahcer car, but for some reason when i looked at it, it did not seem right. the car looked almost like it was not long enough, I did not compare it to a the minichamps verison.

i am holding out for the #17 car of Lauda to fill the WDC hole, that is of course if i don't loose interest by then.

I thought I read that the series was discontinued?

I too am impressed. The paint is very good, and the antennas and suspension are better. They still don't get the wheels and tires yet.
Two other things about the F2003 GA - I don't know which race they picked to do the rear wing, and the Olympus decal is missing from the nose. I thought they made cameras, not cigs or booze.

Miles ahead of Hot Wheels, IMO.

We have had quite a few visitors to our shop and seen these in person. I thought we'd share some photos.

I have a few of them. The last one I bought was a 126C3 to fill a hole in my collection. A very nice model. I'm waiting for a 126C4 so I can get rid of my Brumm!

The quality is very good, I think get some older F1 cars for my collection. Sad thing is though they don't have a driver figurine.

I just added the 1964 Italian GP winner of John Surtees - nice model, indeed!
