Mosport Info required

With no Indy race in Toronto this year..I need a racing fix.
Going to Mosport Sat for the Nascar Canadian Tire Series race with the family - Mrs TKG and the 2 little tkg's Anyone know best place to sit for the race? Best time to arrive (gates open 1:30- race is at 7 and there is a autograph session at 5:45 I believe)

Never been to Mosport so any info greatly appreciated

Provided they run on the big track rather than the stock track, inside Corner 2 beyond a doubt. No washroom facilities for the little lady but one of the best corners in motorsport.

I believe this time around it is the short track

[Watson Roadster]

The track's a 1/2 mile...Kinda flat,a little bit of banking.They usuually run late models and pavement mod's.The mod's put on a good show.I saw the ISMA SuperModifeds there,one word....WOW!!!!:eek::cool:
Late models?They get a little single file and are kinda slow.Passing is limited to someone making a mistake,otherwise it'll be fairly nose to tail.

Take it from somebody that's actually "seen" a NCTS race this year, it will be a good day of racing!
The Mosport 1/2 mile oval is a decent track and seeing Ranger and the boys bashin' and bangin' is cool.
I would get there early and save some good seats. (we tape old chair cushions to the stands) Take a picnic lunch and have some fun walking around during the day. There are quite a few vendors there and sponsor tents.

Well..the race was a wash-out on Saturday..no time trials..no autograph session and no race!

Postponed race to Sunday at NOON but still no qualifying or autograph session - kids slightly bummed!

First Nascar type race I have seen. Have to say that track was nice and close to stands - clear view of driver in car was amazing.

Lots of banging and trading paint at the end of the race

Will be back!!!

Bummer about the weather, it's been washing out alot of racing this year :(
and to not have the autograph signing is just lame......
(If your kids have a favourite driver, I might have some signed driver cards I could send ya for them, if they really wanted one, have most, but not all)

My 2 boys were really hoping to get TAG and Andrew Ranger autographs. They have both been to various Molson Indy races so they know of these 2 drivers.
I was hoping to meet Joey McColm as he is from Ajax, my neck of the woods!

I have both Tag and Rangers autographed cards, only one of each tho. You can have 'em if it won't create sibling rivalry :D
You could pick up if your ever up Barrie way or I could mail them and risk bendage.
