Official Rules
How to Enter:
SIGN-UP ANYTIME - NEW GAME EVERY RACE WEEK PLUS TWO YEARLY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Sign-up for a racing pool account and select a team name. Your team name will be visible to the public, so make sure you do not use your actual name or anything offensive. You’ll have to come up with your own unique team name so you’ll be able to follow your team’s progress and to claim prizes. There is no cost to enter, but you will only be able to enter once per valid email address and once per person.
Entry Deadline:
Each weeks entries must be submitted no later than Midnight (EST) of the Friday prior to each race weekend. This is before Saturday’s qualifying (except for the Indy 500), but in some cases after Friday practice. You must pick a new set of drivers each and every weekend to qualify for the Championship prizes.
How to play:
As the owner of your very own Fantasy Racing Team, you are in charge of managing and maintaining a team comprised of IndyCar and Formula One Drivers. At your disposal, is a fictitious salary budget of $2,500,000.00 per race weekend and per series. These funds allow the selection of drivers to build a racing team with the greatest potential to score points each race weekend.
Every active IndyCar and Formula One driver is assigned a dollar value based upon their points earning potential during the course of their respective racing weekends. As the season progresses, drivers values may change based upon their overall performance. Points will be paid to each driver who finishes in the top 16 of their entered points race.
19 races from Indycar and 19 from Formula One will make up the Fantasy League’s official schedule (if any races are canceled or added, the pool will reflect these changes). The team(s) with the highest number of points after each weekend will win prizes. In addition, there will be two separate Championships. The 1st Half Championship will start March 17 with the Formula One Australian GP and end on June 30 weekend with the Formula One British GP race. The 2nd Half Championship will start on July 7th with the IndyCar race at Pocono and Formula one race at the German GP and end with the Formula One Brazilian GP on November 24, 2013.
Some race weekends will have either an IndyCar race or a Formula One race, but there will also be seven “Double Header” and one "Triple Header" weekends where both series are running together. The “Double Header” weekends mean you will have to select drivers for both series. The "Triple Header" weekend will have two Indycar and one Formula One races, where you will need to select drivers three separate times.
BONUS POINTS:
-Choose the Pole Position Winner for each race (excluding Indy 500 due to qualifing occuring one week prior to event) and gain an extra point. This bonus selection will not factor into your teams $2.5 million budget.
-Choose the driver that finishes last or is the first to retire (clasified last) and gain an extra two points; driver must start the race. This bonus selection will not factor into your teams $2.5 million budget.
